Time to break the streak of Star Wars-related music... Hmmm.... I know! Lord of the Rings!
This is such a good song. I shouldn't really have to say anything about it, since all my readers already know... But in case you don't know, this song is from the Lord of the Rings soundtrack. Some of the lyrics are English, but some are in the graceful Elvish language of Quenya. It's very beautiful, and I can imagine Arwen singing it (it even sounds like her).
I have used this song many times to calm myself down or to amplify a peaceful mood. I have even used it as a lullaby, falling asleep to it. No joke. It's that good. Listen to it if you haven't already.
I love this song! haha, it is totally a lullaby.
ReplyDeleteFor serious, have you tied using it as a lullaby before? It really works! XD
DeleteYes I have, it works great!! :-D
DeleteThis song works really well to calm you down, or get you relaxed as well. Aniron is another one like this from the OST.
ReplyDeletePersonally I don't see (or hear, I suppose) how Enya sounds like Arwen, listen to "Arwen's Song", Liv Tyler actually sang that one. :-)
Yup.
DeleteOkay, I'll check those out.
Once again proving that my imagination is better than yours... ;)
Personally, I think that she does sound like Arwen. I can imagine her singing it to her kids... (or kid, I don't remember how many she had; she died when she was like 2,000 something.)
DeleteJonny,
DeleteMad people have better imaginations too. (I will bring this up every time you try to say that you have a better imagination than me. ;-P)
Tabby,
Arwen had Eldarion, and "a number of unnamed daughters".
But I'm not insane, so that point is irrelevant. ;D
DeleteSays you. Insane people don't think they're insane. :-D
DeleteNeither do sane people. ;)
DeleteSane people don't make others laugh at their expense for a living. Sane people don't look up to said insane people.
DeleteWell, I know several sane people who do that and who are looked up to by other sane people, so I think you may need to rethink these "definitions" of yours! ;)
DeleteI honestly don't know why you're so adamant on this point, like you have a vested interest. Trying to get me thrown into an asylum or something?
Maybe I will, if I ever meet said people. You'll need to bring me evidence for me to change my mind, not just your opinions. On people I don't even know, and have never met. :-)
Delete"Trying to get me thrown into an asylum or something?" You know, that's not a bad idea.... :-P
No, in all seriousness, I tend to reflect those around me (only in certain things, like, I pick up accents very quickly. For instance, if I watch a movie where everyone has the same accent, I'll pick up that accent, and talk with it for the next few hours) If the other person doesn't back down, neither do I. I know, that's a terrible thing, and I'm working on that. That's probably why I came off as so very contrary when I first started talking to you..... Honestly, I'm surrounded by nice people (which is a very good thing, don't get me wrong), and I was a little starved for a good argument...
Also, I noticed that I didn't use emoticons at all in that last comment. I was trying to not use them so much, but I guess it came off wrong. Oops! :-P
I'm not even sure what you what anymore or why we keep talking about it. :P
DeleteActually, it is a bad idea...
I see. I can be like that too sometimes, I totally understand. No harm done. And even if you did come off wrong (which I can't recall if you did), it didn't matter because I always give my friends the benefit of the doubt. I know you guys would never mean anything bad that you ever say towards or about me. If such were not the case, you wouldn't be my friend in the first place! :)
Thanks, glad we agree about that!
DeleteYeah, I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt as well, but it's always hard to judge how serious someone actually is online. And, I guess it's the way I word things or something, I don't know, but it seems like when I say things without emoticons, people tend to think I'm being super serious. So I start using a lot of them, and then I feel like those people that just say "lol" all the time. (That's so annoying) :-/
Giving someone the benefit of the doubt is always better than not doing so, at least in my experience. And I totally know what you mean. You can almost never tell how somebody is really trying to communicate.
DeleteAnd that I can relate with as well. People take you seriously if you don't have emotes or LOLs in your post. But the alternative is to fill your posts with them, which is worse.
The only solution I've come up with so far for that is to talk to people that know you and understand your sense of humor (which, mine can be a little harsh sometimes.....) but if you ever come across the answer to talk to people you don't really know and have them understand what you mean, and HOW you mean it, let me know!
