I know I usually say "this is one of my favorite hymns!" but this particular hymn is "favoriter" to me than those others I've posted. Perplexingly enough, I couldn't find any good versions of this song on youtube. It seems to have been mostly forgotten here in the western world, whereas the far east seems to really like it (or at least, that's the impression I was given by my search results). In any case, the best video I could find was this dude playing an organ. Nobody is singing in this video, so here are the lyrics for you to read yourself:
Simply trusting every day,
Trusting through a stormy way;
Even when my faith is small,
Trusting Jesus, that is all.
Refrain:
Trusting as the moments fly,
Trusting as the days go by;
Trusting Him whate’er befall,
Trusting Jesus, that is all.
Brightly doth His Spirit shine
Into this poor heart of mine;
While He leads I cannot fall;
Trusting Jesus, that is all.
Singing if my way is clear,
Praying if the path be drear;
If in danger for Him call;
Trusting Jesus, that is all.
I really, really love this hymn. It reminds me so much of Pilgrim's Progress, especially the last two verses. Definitely one of my "favoritest" hymns, if not my very favorite.Trusting Him while life shall last,
Trusting Him till earth be past;
Till within the jasper wall,
Trusting Jesus, that is all.
LOVE this hymn! It's so much like a lullaby...it really has a calming effect.
