Weird Al - Lasagna

I am not familiar with the lyrics of the song this is a parody of (La Bamba?), but I am familiar with the tune. It was another one of those songs that sat around getting stale on my parent's computer back in the day. In any case, Weird Al's version is much more fun, and quotable... since I am a fan of Italian food.

Aaaaand now I'm hungry.

Beauty of the Reef

The original title of this track is called First Day of School, but I like my title better. Finding Nemo was one of my favorite movies as a kid, and the music is just amazing. I really like the sense of curiosity, vibrance, and color that this soundtrack evokes.

Red Gem Redemption

I don't know why it's called "Red Gem Redemption." All I know is that it's made by Waterflame, was put in a game called Castlestorm, and that it's really good.

Colette Shows Him Le Ropes

I recently picked up a CD that has Pixar's greatest soundtrack hits. My word, these are really good!

Here's one of my favorites. Very exotic, very lively, very cool. It sounds like it would be really fun to dance to. What do you think?

Oh, and it's from the Ratatouille soundtrack, which was composed by none other than Michael Giacchino! Who knew?

Hunter Bridge

There is a level in Halo CE where you walk out onto a bridge between two mountains, and there is another bridge parallel to it with two "hunters" (large aliens with heavy armor and weapons) on it. This epic tune begins to play as you try to make your way across the bridge without getting shot by the hunters...
"Dundundun Dunnnnn, Dundundun Dunnnnnnnnn, Dundundun Dunnnnnnnnnn, Dundundun Dunnnnn, Duh-Duh-Dum!"

Music Fetch: Best of Disney

This is slightly different from a music challenge. Instead of finding four songs that display specific aspects of a certain theme, you simply have to find your four favorite pieces of music from a certain subject. Today's subject is Disney! It's up to you to come up with your four favorite Disney songs (not soundtracks)... and rank them! Here are mine:

#4: Once Upon a Dream

Now before you make fun of me, you have to admit that the tune is really catchy and that Aurora is the prettiest Disney Princess besides Anna. In any case, when you have a little sister who watches this movie a trillion times, the song kind of grows on you.

#3: I've Got a Dream

Fun, hilarious, heart-warming, you can't beat this song!
#2: For the First Time in Forever (Reprise)

Anna, we were just talking about you! All good things, all good things... Anyway. No list would be complete without "Let it Go", but because it's so mainstream, I'm going to go with a different Frozen song instead. I really like how Anna is trying to repair her relationship with her sister, even though it's hardly her fault that it got messed up in the first place.

#1: I'll Make a Man Out of You

The most ultimate Disney song. I only saw Mulan once when I was really little, for good reason (the message was terrible), but this song has got to be at the top of anyone's list of best Disney songs. Very few songs are able to be catchy, funny, and epic at the same time, but this one nails it on the head.

Falling Skies

A pretty cool soundtrack for a pretty cool series. There's another part that I really like, but I couldn't find it. Oh well.

Battle for Umbara

I honestly have no idea where this piece of music comes from. I searched and searched, but couldn't find out who originally made it.

I really like how it starts out softly with just the piano, and then adds new instruments one after another, until we've got a really good [insert technical music term] going on. Plus, the Battle of Umbara automatically makes everything better. Kinda like Bacon. So yeah.

Oh, just a note: the music stops about halfway, and you get to hear Rex, Fives, Tup, and the rest of te 501st legion yell at each other while fighting off an Umbaran militia ambush. Fun stuff! The music starts over a few minutes late, and we get to watch General Krell steam-rolling the 501st and 2012th. Not so fun. :P
