Scaling the Cliff Verses No Pulse!

Verses is back, for another exciting battle of the tunes!

In the Blue corner, we have Scaling the Cliff:

In the Red corner, yet another Pacific Rim soundtrack, No Pulse:

The question this time is not "Which do you like better?" but rather, Which soundtrack would you rather have playing during a defining action scene in your life?

You know the rules; cast your votes!

  1. ....I can't say I would choose either.

    1. It's kind of a "If you had to choose one" deal... But! That gives me an idea...

    2. Well, I didn't choose four now did I?

Well, if I had choose one of those above I would prolly go opposite of Payton. Just to spite her. Not really! Just because it's more....contemplative?

      What idea?

    3. Oh, well that makes it okay, doesn't it?

"You first story was better!" JK.
And I don't see what's "contemplative" about it, but maybe that's because I think of the scene whenever I hear it (see below).

    4. As for my idea... well, you're just going to have to wait and see!

    5. You said to choose one! I did!

Well it's more contemplative than Star Wars.

    6. Good! Thanks!

Well, yeah, it's an action scene... I mean, they're fighting a battle while scaling a cliff! BTW, "Scaling the Cliff" isn't a good representation of Star Wars music, since it wasn't composed by (the master) John Williams (like all the rest of the Star Wars soundtracks).

    7. You're welcome. Anytime.

Yeah, so the other is more contemplative, and I like it more. I mean--I'd rather have it playing during a defining action scene in my life. No--no I wouldn't. I would want LOTR playing!
Why do I have to repeat myself so often?

    8. I would want LOTR playing too (or maybe some Classic Star Wars). The reason I chose the two that I did was 1) if I posted LOTR, it would win no matter what, because all my readers love it too much, and 2) because I wanted two shorter pieces of music, and those were the only two action-y tracks in my library of similar short length.

    9. And I don't know why you repeat yourself... probably just your insanity made manifest. JK!

    10. Okay, sure, that makes sense. Glad to see your head is on properly.

    11. Ahahahahahaha! Goshes woshes, it's late for jokes, Jonny!

    12. You know me, I can't resist a good opportunity. And what do you mean late? The night is still young!

    13. And I can't help laughing!
I have a friend who every single time I say "I'm going crazy" corrects me with "*ahem* Going?"
      It's late! Haha. It's late, okay.....late....

btw, why do you make me do this number test thingy every single time I comment. I don't do that to you.

    14. I need to meet this friend of yours. They sound very wise indeed.
8 is not late! Hey, I'm a poet, and I don't know it...

Oh, I thought I had hat disabled! Sorry! I'll fix it right away...

    15. Haha, Maggie? You've done a few word wars with her. She's constantly putting me in my place.
      It's 7:30, but I don't care, it's late. Very late....

You had no hat disabled, and you didn't have the numbers disabled either.

    16. Oh yeah! Maggie! She was fun, when she wasn't being a spoil-sport about word-warring... Yeah, SOMEONE needs to be around to put you in your place.
What, is it past your bedtime? JK

Pshhaha! You know what I meant! It's fixed now, anyway.

His is just like old times...

    17. I prefer to think of it as I keep Ellie in her place and she bullies me into work--a mutual dynamic ~

    18. This that, his hat, goshes woshes hinky toshes, etc.
I don't know how to act my age, I've been been this old before.

It FEELS like bedtime! It's been a long day.

    20. Forget novels... You should write Dr. Suess-style books, Ellie.
Been been? I'm not the only one who makes typos, apparently.

Yeah, I can agree, but I'm an hour ahead of you.

An you brought Maggie! That's great! Hi Maggie! Thanks for putting Ellie in her place!

    21. Oh whoops. Yeah, that's Oatmeal there. It's all Maggie's fault. Oatmeal stalks her. "An you brought...."
I meant, "I've never been this old before."

      It still feels like bedtime.

    22. Mhm. Likely story. How about we just stop correcting each other's typos? We know what we mean. :P

      It does.

    23. Yep sure.

But I won't be here to correct them anyway. I'm off to watch Leave it to Beaver!
      Chair Jonny!
      Recliner Maggie!

  2. "Scaling the Cliff". The other one just makes me want to cover my head with a pillow. Not the best thing to do in an action scene...

    1. You would want to hide under a pillow? I would want to pilot Gipsy Danger and hit Otachi over the head with a boat...
That's actually the scene where "No Pulse" is from:
