Red Gem Redemption

I don't know why it's called "Red Gem Redemption." All I know is that it's made by Waterflame, was put in a game called Castlestorm, and that it's really good.

Waterflame: Clutterfunk

If there was one song that I would say is the perfect representation of all of Waterflame's music, it would be this one.

What genre is it? All of them. Or at least, all of the Genres Waterflame makes music for, which is several... On his youtube page, Waterflame said: "...if you were to try and put it in a genre: Glitch-step-Orchestral-break-Techno... lol."

It's really good. If at any point in the song you think "I don't like this", don't worry: It'll switch genres in a few seconds! XD

Horizon

This is one of those many pieces by Waterflame that I would love to wake up to every morning. It has that happy feel of a new day full of possibilities. It makes me want to sit up in the sheets with the sun in my face, take a breath of fresh cool air, sigh with a smile, and get up to start the day. :)

Make a Run for it!

Some of the best original 8-bit music I've heard in a long time! Very bouncy, happy, and cute... But that's Waterflame for you.

And those laser blast/woosh sounds near the end are just epic.

Electroman & Sky Fortress

I'm currently obsessed with Waterflame and listening through all of his songs one by one. So many of them are upbeat and... well, happy! Some make me want to dance, and that's saying a lot. Here's one of the many that I love:

From the video description on Youtube:
"this is a Original track, and not a remake or remix for anything!
I made it with a theme in mind, for a fictional hero, 'electroman'
that i made up to go along with the song. so this is the theme to a
main character of a game that does not exist! (unless you want to make it? ;)
     enjoy!" -- Waterflame
EDIT: Sorry, I just can't help myself! I had to post Sky Fortress as well!

2:35 really reminds me of my little sister. Probably because I was dancing with her when I listened to it... But whatever. Gosh, I can't get over Waterflame's music. I'm addicted! Help!

Ricochet Love

A really epic song by our beloved Waterflame. This song doesn't just float my boat: it makes my boat hover about three feet out of the water; that's how much I like it.

It may sound a bit "beaty" at first, but it gets really good about a minute in... and gets even better at 2:20 and onward. Do yourself a favor and listen!

Double Edged VERSES Glorious Morning!

Two pieces of music square off against each other! Only one can be the winner! You, dear readers, decide the outcome!

In the red corner, hailing from ancient Greece, comes Nitrome's Double Edged theme!

RIP, headphone users!
For those of you who have never played it, Double Edged has a really cool two-player mode that is GREAT for playing with a little sibling... Anyway...

In the blue corner, with an impressive track record for being featured in flash games, we have Waterflame's Glorious Morning, CastleStorm edition!

Both game soundtracks are unique and catchy in their own ways, but only one can be the winner! Which one is your favorite? Cast you votes in the comments!

Day 7: Rocket Race!

Had two great word wars this morning, and I used this upbeat theme to keep me going through both of them. :D

Glorious Morning!

Glorious Morning, by Waterflame:

This piece is a favorite of mine. The beginning is especially peaceful, what with the birds singing in the background. That's not exactly what you would expect from a track famous for being featured in games such as Age of War and Siegius. Then again, I don't think most game soundtracks are what most people expect. That's why so few people listen to the ones I post. >:/ JK, it's cool, guys. But seriously, give game soundtracks a chance.

Anyway, due to popular demand, Waterflame went and made a second version of Glorious Morning:

I'm not sure I like it as much as the original, but after about 3 minutes in, it gets pretty good. I just miss the kind of medieval vibe that the first one had.

There is yet another version of Glorious Morning that Waterflame made for a game called CastleStorm (I've never played it):

It's much closer to the original, but employs much more strings. Strings dominate, in fact. Almost too much, but maybe it just seems that way in contrast to the original.

Which version of Glorious Morning is your favorite?

ROCKET RACE!

Rocket Race was made by Waterflame and was used in the games Raze and Raze 2. Waterflame's music is known for being used in lots of online flash games because of its epic and usually fast-paced beat. Rocket Race makes me feel very energetic, and went perfectly with Raze's fast-paced and action-packed gameplay. The music makes me want to do something very cool, or at the very least, run fast or jump up and down. Let's just say there is a reason I make sure there's nobody watching when I turn on this music... My antics can be quite hilarious.
